It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I think I might have discovered my style of art. . .
It might be a premature thought but I have noticed how most of my deviations look like and I think they all share a similar style....

negative space

notice how most of my deviations have the positive space object in a far corner - and the negative space stretches out throughout the borders.

i somehow like the look of negative space, to show us how large everything is. i like scenery shots, where the background takes up 80% of the artboard. shows us how grande everything is compared to the object in focus...

i love that

i might be the lucky one of discovering this for myself.
ill continue to develop this ^^

You do use negative space well. But now will you be self conscious of it with each new piece? ;-)

Maybe you'll have different recognizable periods.
